Great shots. I especially like the ones taken from above. Having ridden in rush hour trains in Tokyo for several years, I can readily identify with most of the scenes, but the ones taken from above offer a fresh perspective, a sort of omnipotent angle I never really considered while riding the train.
I would love to see a picture of the photographer taking the shot.

Hi Salvador,

Legally you certainly don't need consent to take the photos, nor to use them if its editorial. Bit of a tricky situation. Explaining might be easier than you think. Just say "shumi desu" (it's my hobby). I tend to take photos first then explain (occasionally apologize!) later.

Just wondering, how do you take pictures of people and publish them? Don't you need some form of written consent? I'm just getting into photography and I live in Toyama-ken. I always want to take pictures of local farmers doing their thing, but I feel awkward, especially since I don't speak Japanese so well and I could not explain myself if they started to ask me why I was taking their picture. Could you offer me some advice? Thanks!

Looks nice. Like the voice-over. Now all you need is the guy who apologizes for train delays.
