Love film. Still shoot it. Just never for an assignment. Nice Yashica collection. I've got a Yashica Lynx 14, the one with the 45mm f/1.4 lens. To be fair, I'm not sure what my life would be like without digital. But on the street, with no editor to answer to, nothing beats my recently acquired Voigtlander R2M with a 35mm.

Some beautiful old cameras there. I always used a nikon FE2 until it was stolen in Taunton one year along with all my climbing gear. (Bad year) I had taken that camera up and down mountains and into all sorts of situation all over the world. It had never let me down and it took great pictures. I must admit that I moved to auto focus because some of those great pics were not as sharp as I could have wished and still have 2 EOS5 bodies which I love. The first was bought when the camera was quite new in the UK the second a few years ago for a measly 12,000 in a second hand shop here. One of them still has a roll of black and white in it from over a year ago that I have not found time or subject to finish shooting. That`s the problem with film it can be inconvenient for work. I went digital because a secondhand EOS20 was cheaper then 20 rolls of provia plus processing and after an embrassing job for LA Times that I shot on film and had the editor waiting all night for me to send each time consumingly, scanned, cleaned, and compressed jpeg across. I felt like such an idiot because I could have done the job with digital in 20 minutes. Plus as it was a dark, indoor shoot with difficult lighting having a varial iso might have made the pics better too.
But I do miss shooting film sometimes, might get onto that soon.

Ahhh, you're bringing back memories - the Pentax pictured was the camera I learned on from age 6 till I moved out of home at 18. I occasionally see one in a shop window and am tempted - perhaps next time I'll give in.

Hey Tony,

Nice selection of film cameras there. I sold a few of mine recently, I have a GR1s, couldn't bare to part with it. These days when I shoot film I only use a Mamiya 7II, haven't shot 35mm for about 3 years....just all digital for me too these days.

Anyway, about the blog, I am pretty bad with technology, simple Mac stuff does it for me, so a friend was good enough to help set up the blog for me via Wordpress and hosted through Go daddy. As far as I know the template for the blog is free, keeps changing each time I upload, works well for me.

Cheers
